| | The Greatest Salesman in the World is a tiny book, and it is a treasure. First published in 1968, Og Mandino's classic remains an invaluable guide to a philosophy of salesmanship. Mandino's clear, simple writing style supports his purpose: to make the principles of sales known to a wide audience. A parable set in the time just prior to Christianity, The Greatest Salesman in the World weaves mythology with spirituality into a much needed message of inspiration in this culture of self-promotion. Mandino believes that to be a good salesperson, you must believe in yourself and the work you are doing. It is a simple but profound spiritual philosophy about how to succeed in the world's marketplace, easily understood and easy to take to heart | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
| A sharp moment is when someone has told you the truth, A dull moment is when you try to respond. Being a lover – or trying to love – is full of daydreaming. When Cleopatra oozes her affection, cuts it with her tempered wisdom, And exclaims, "You are not worthy of love and infatuation!" That is the time a thousand years of manhood, A thousand years of history and foundation, Come crumbling down.
Out of this rubble, arise with grace and integrity. Don"t be bashful about your secret and most hidden inhibitions, For she is a woman and you are a man. Power is with you – skill with her. At this moment do not touch your wounded heart or corrupt pride: Put forth a face of gaiety and mirth. Look at her – look at yourself, For she sees you – now see her.
The Nile may be wide but parts are shallow– Cross it when you can. Don"t be foolish and drink this serpentine river, For she will win, and you will lose. Because change is her blood, You must be like the desert and move as the winds tell you. This is a perpetual dance of mind and heart, of soft and hard. Don"t stand still: The quicksand of discursive intention
Will make you sink. Time helps neither you nor her, But flexibility can wound this eternal play. Be the sun, brilliant and wise. Let her be the moon, brilliant and clear. Between the two, life can be interesting.

| The Sea is a living entity, she is the very essence of life. All whom she touches are left with a residue of energy and renewed purpose. Even that which she destroys flourishes with an ethereal beauty and living spirit.Though the Sea invites and seduces, never forget: she is as lethal as she is kind.

| Each flower is a soul opening out to nature
The Earth Laughs in Flowers
A flower's fragrance declares to all the world that it is fertile, available, and desirable, its sex organs oozing with nectar. Its smell reminds us in vestigial ways of fertility, vigor, life-force, all the optimism, expectancy, and passionate bloom of youth. We inhale its ardent aroma and, no matter what our ages, we feel young and nubile in a world aflame with desire.
There came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom
Flowers are the sweetest things God ever made and forgot to put a soul into
If you pass by the color purple in a field and don't notice it, God gets real pissed off
With a few flowers in my garden, half a dozen pictures and some books, I live without envy.
If seeds in the black earth can turn into such beautiful roses, what might not the heart of man become in its long journey toward the stars?
He who is born with a silver spoon in his mouth is generally considered a fortunate person, but his good fortune is small compared to that of the happy mortal who enters this world with a passion for flowers in his soul
At dawn I asked the lotus, 'What is the meaning of life?' Slowly she opened her hand with nothing in it
All the flowers of all the tomorrows are in the seeds of today.
Every child is born a naturalist. His eyes are, by nature, open to the glories of the stars, the beauty of the flowers, and the mystery of life.
Don't try to force anything. Let life be a deep let-go. See [God/Spirit/All That Is] opening millions of flowers every day without forcing the buds
In joy or sadness, flowers are our constant friends

Take time to smell the roses | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |

Human being is an extrmely complex organism living with infinite number of stresses and messes most of which are his own creations. To survive in this highly competitive and insane world, one need to have a good sense of humor and should be capable of laughing at things. As the famous saying goes laughter is the best medicine for human beings to lead a happy and peaceful life. Many research findings shows that when a person laughs, a good amount of endorphins and other useful hormones are being generated in our body. On an average , an adult laugh 15 times per day while a child laugh 400 times a day. As we grow up, somehow we are loosing hundreds of laugh per day. This is a serious issue and is one of the root causes of the problems we are facing today. No amount of money can match the treasure we posses in our ability to laugh. While laughter can release physical and emotional pain, laughing is just plain fun and brings great joy to our life. So lets start laughing and enjoy life.
Here is a sardarji joke Once a groups of sikhs decided to prove that sikhs are not ignorants. They selected the clever Bantha singh as their representative and asked him to do some discovery.Bantha singh agreed that. The next day he started his discovery .He took a cockroach and started his researches on it. First he cut its first leg and put on a table and shouted "WALK".The cockroach walked a few steps and stopped .Again he cuts its second leg and shouted "WALK".It again moved a few steps and stopped .Again he cut its third leg and shouted "WALK".It draged a littile and stopped. Again he cut its fouth leg and shouted "WALK".But it couldn't move with out a leg . At last Bantha singh came to a conclusion. "COCKROACHES BECOME DEAF IF ITS FOUR LEGS ARE LOST ". | comments: Leave a comment |
